Reason 0031 : Singaporean Drivers Do Not Appreciate You Giving Way on the Roads

I have given up on giving way to others on the roads. Five or ten years ago, when you gave way to another motorist even though you had the right of way, more often than not, you would be given a thank you wave from the other motorist.

Today, do not even think about getting such a thank you. You would be lucky if the other motorist gave you a look before moving on. They seem to be totally obtuse to the fact that someone is showing them an act of courtesy and they take it as a God-given that they should have the right of way.

Some people choose not to let ourselves get affected and continue with their acts of kindness. That is admirable but then again, why should we waste our time and energy on acts of kindness for cows who do not know any better?

It's not kindness if its done with an expectation of any kind (including gratitude). It's called a favour.
And if you think everyone is so ungrateful, why don't you practise what you preach instead of just whining about everything in singapore and being a silly ungrateful brat yourself!

Hey look. Although they don't show their gratitude to those who give way, inside they are actually smiling slightly, wanting to say thanks. WOW LOOK, MR ANNOYING ALSO DOESN'T GIVE WAY. ok, what about this, FOR EVERY PERSON WHO GIVES WAY TO YOU ON THE ROAD, ROLL THE WINDOW DOWN, AND SHOUT THANKS LOUDLY. I DARE U TO DO THAT. i dont mean to say it so bluntly but grow up you ungrateful brat. BE GRATEFUL FOR WHAT U HAVE AND QUIT COMPLAINING.

Kindness begets kindness. Do onto others what you want others do onto you.

the driver could give a slight tap of the horn to show gratitude or a kind of thank you!

WELL PARDON ME FOR BEING BLUNT BUT, This site is just PLAIN STUPID. So you're whining like a baby about Singaporean drivers not being grateful? Thats not true,Sometimes drivers do wave a 'thanks',however you're probably just too busy whining to ACTUALLY NOTICE. Do you actually expect them to shout out a 'THANK YOU,I APPRECIATE IT!' to you? Please, stop whining and get a life.

I still remembered an old ugliest memories which was related to those cases I was spoke from earlier. It's about one Singaporean lady whom drove like a f**king scrawny uptight b**ch. Everything was happened when I was filling the pumps at a petrol stations. Suddenly A black-sport BMW car using Singapore plate number came from behind my car and gave a big horn to me. I was like "WTF? Why she's horned me without any reason?". Guess what? She came out from her bloody cars and started yelling at me. She said " Eh brother, can fast pam duel aa? I urgent leh ". I replied back to her, " Pukimak you! Hello, sis! There's many pumps still empty over there and why do you have to pick on my pumps as you may choose another pump to fill your car?! ". I forgot to mentioned one more thing. Actually it was happened in the midnight. Come on, use some common sense. Who's going to fill a pump at those times? There's many spot she can take actually but why my spot? Yet, she can yell at me just because of the pumps? Never mind, just scratch it.

"In your country also want to show your lansi leh?"
"Then you came to my country oso wanan tunjuk lansi meh? You tai lou aa?"

I think she's about late 20's cause she still looks young. So sad, pretty face but poor manners. Yes, it was the last word. The last word that I replied back to her. Wanna know what it is?

" You're in my place right now and still, you trying to be cocky with me? Don't push me off or else you're going to get giant belly(pregnant) when you get back to your place. "

P/S: Hehe... you got me right? But anyway, this was the real attitude of most of Singaporean girls driver.
